Bold and Beautiful Motifs for the Powder Room

Let's get loud. We're talking graphic walls, cheeky art, and textural accessories that make a case for "more is more"

In this powder room by Juan Montoya Design, nothing was left to chance. To infuse the desired bold vibe, the studio custom-designed the vanity and the black-and-white marble pattern on the floor. “Complementing the floor design, you have wainscoting zebra marble walls giving a sense of movement to the room and an escayola wall finish in the upper section,” says the designer. “To highlight the beautiful mirror and the custom-made vanity, I decided to use black glass on the wall to allow for a subtle reflection of the room and surround the area with a rim of light.”

In Billy Ceglia‘s world, anything goes—as long as it’s in good taste. The blue zebra stripes on the Kravet wallcovering in the powder room of the designer’s South Beach pied-à-terre not only cover the walls, but the ceiling as well. And in Ceglia’s own words: “Why not?”
