Led by designer Ryan Twardzik, Unform Studio was one of the exhibitors to see at the most recent SaloneSatellite, the forum of the Salone del Mobile dedicated to promising tastemakers under the age of 35. To mark his entry into the upholstered furniture sector, Twardzik used his exhibition spaces to preview two new collections, both of which deal with material in a highly tactile way. The Spherae Collection is based on the idea of “remixing textures in use, form, and interaction” and proposing new ways to look at wood, brass, and various fabrics. The Pop-Up Collection (which includes a lounger, chair, and ottoman) explores marshmallow-soft textures via repeated monolithic shapes. Both collections will be available to consumers this fall.
