Editor’s Choice: Contemporary Dining Room
Heart of Stone
“The dining room takes center stage as the heart of this residence in Surfside, which draws inspiration from the captivating cenotes in Yucatan,” says designer Roberto Racy. “The focal point of the room is the natural stone wall, which exudes organic beauty. These massive pieces, which each weigh 1,500 pounds, inspire wonder and fascination. Their raw, natural beauty starkly contrasts with the opulence of the Sahara Noir marble-top dining table.”
Use of Millwork
Wood Wonderment
“The main goal of this Surfside project was to put together elements of nature, contemporary luxury, and a refreshing spa-like atmosphere into an inviting residence,” says designer Roberto Racy. “To help us achieve that, we incorporated meticulously crafted bespoke millwork elements in each room. The great room entrance creates wow factor with a parametric wood detail on the ceiling, which draws inspiration from the fluidity of water, and transmits the idea of a cave-like environment.”
