Harmony and Balance
“The landscapes for this Coral Gables modern farmhouse make the outdoor experience inspired from the inside out,” says landscape architect Christopher Cawley. “This residence is set among old oak trees and a connection to the grounds was the primary objective. The homeowners wanted the landscapes to be a gallery of vistas, so we artfully blended strips of grass into the hardscape, running perpendicular to the home to create a contemporary aesthetic. With existing oak trees framing the views out into the grounds, mature thatch palms were relocated from around the site to create feature elements in the entry and pool area. The overall planting palette is simple and natural.”
