Would you like to rent your own private paradise? Then Calivigny Island is the place for you. Just a five-minute boat ride from the international airport in Grenada, your arrival will be quick and hassle free. From the moment you dock until the moment you leave, the entire 80-acre island is your personal nirvana … every wish, whim and desire is taken care of by a professional staff.

In 2000, a French businessman and his wife purchased the West Indies island and subsequently built a sprawling residential compound complete with a 10-bedroom, 107,600-square-foot main house. Last year, when the property became available on a buy-out-only basis, the couple added a second mansion, the nine-bedroom Overhang Residence. And just completed this year are three new, two-bedroom Calivigny Cottages. Even at its 50-person capacity, the island offers ample empty sand and exotic out-of-the-way beaches to satisfy privacy-seeking guests.

A private chef and a full culinary team are always on call to prepare lavish spreads or simple picnic baskets for the beach or boat. Only freshly sourced and grown produce is used throughout the resort. The maître d’hôtel creates themed dinners complete with gourmet cuisine, creative table decorations and attentive service.

The perfect venue for every type of event, this island retreat ensures total privacy for all of its guests. Popular for family reunions, high-level corporate meetings and wedding celebrations, the island’s luxury Perini Navi sailing yacht is available to accommodate 12 more guests, and if needed, the close proximity to Grenada offers additional accommodations for even larger groups<./p>

Calivigny Island and Grenada (the “Spice Isle”) offer an underwater world of unspoiled reefs to explore — shipwrecks and sculpture gardens attract experienced divers as well as those that want to experience a plethora of sea life for the first time. Other activities include tennis, outdoor cinema, boating, jet skiing and fishing.

The Calivigny experience promises to be simply unforgettable and paradise does have its price (available upon request). For more information, visit
