The pillowed limestone flooring on the first and second floors gives way to exotic ipe hardwood on the third floor, where the guestrooms and the master bedroom are located.

In the master bedroom, Shevlin opted for a tailored look, tucking a cream-colored damask bed covering into a chenille-wrapped bed frame. Fleur-de-lis-patterned draperies “appear to change colors to match the ocean,” Shevlin says.
